Chris and Emily are the kind of couple who just seem that they always were. They have a natural comfort and ease about them when they’re together and it is just so simple to see how they became the couple that they are. Their love is the kind of love that does and will last forever, I have no question in my mind. So feeling this about them made being a part of their wedding celebration an even greater honor, and it was simply beautiful.

Emily and her girls were exactly on time, dressed quickly and were perfectly on schedule- now that is one way to make a photographer very, very happy! LOL.

Simply gorgeous

I couldn’t believe my eyes when the guys showed up with guns blazing…. and then I heard the stories of how much fun they had with them the night before!

Ceremony- They were married at Christ Lutheran Church in Oakley, Michigan

I just love the way they smile with their eyes… look at that! (They had the special experience of having Chris’ dad, Pastor Grant, marry them- I think that is pretty cool!)

Whoo-hoo!!

On the way to the reception we stopped at the park near Curwood Castle in Corunna- what a beautiful location! It sure was sunny and hot though!

They had a full house at the reception hall, Gigi’s in Owosso, MI. I don’t think they could have fit in one more chair! Everyone was excited to share the celebration with the new Mr. and Mrs.!

We stole a few moments outside to breathe, enjoy the sunset, and capture a few kisses as newleyweds… What a perfect day!

Ready? This was such a beautiful celebration. Emma & Chris are a gorgeous and fun-loving couple and they planned a perfect, laid-back ceremony and reception. As I finish combing through all the pictures from their incredible day, enjoy this peek at some of my favorites. Many, many more to come!

Aaron & Liz tied the knot on a gorgeous spring day. Couldn’t believe how warm and beautiful it was- such luck for May. The day started early with hair appointments for the girls at a salon nearby, but I caught up with them just as they arrived at church for getting ready. The guys followed shortly behind them.

First… details…. LOVED her green shoes (and they’ve got crystals on them! So perfect!)

Aaron chose a light tan suit and dressed his guys in the most luscious chocolate brown color- it was like walking in a sea of Hershey’s (only sweeter… LOL.)

Her dress was amazing! So detailed with flowers, lace, embroidery… just so intricate!

Liz’s mom helped her get dressed- she was a perfect assistant and really was a huge help to Liz. And I’m such a sucker for mom/bride moments like this!

Aaron’s groomsmen were a great mix of guys: a friend, his dad, and Liz’s brothers. All great guys and so fun to work with!

I have to laugh as I look at this one…. by this point in the preparation Aaron was looking mighty nervous… really nervous, and the minister brought out the marriage license for him to sign… love his reaction here. He was fine (and totally excited about getting married of course) but I noticed that the day had him a bit worked up!

Liz’s party consisted of friends and sisters-in-law- another great group to work with! Though I have to give a special shout out to Rose, her maid of honor, who is a former coworker of mine and is the absolute funniest person I know. (And is also a darn good baker- check out Rose Knows Pastries on facebook!)

Aren’t their dresses so pretty? Just loved the pleated detail of the full skirts!

They were married at First Baptist Church in Vassar, MI. Lovely church with gorgeous, large windows! Loved the lighting in here!

Loved that their pastor made them re-do their kiss at the end! LOL. (And he was super sweet to ask me to come closer and get an even better shot!)

Whew… done! Look how their expressions have relaxed! Pure happiness takes over!

By time we got outside to do a few portraits it had clouded up a bit- but that actually made me very happy! No harsh sun to deal with and it never did rain.

See? Super fun crew! This is their version of “attitude” LOL

The cake was ah-mah-zing! Aunt Karen made it. I was in love… can’t even tell you how many pictures I took of it… Oh, and it tasted just as wonderful too!

Aaron’s mom had the best sense of humor! She brought fake teeth and this cute stool for their mother/son dance- loved it! Aaron got a kick out of it and they had lots of fun during their special time.

Their first dance. Liz’s brother, Nathaniel, performed “Green Eyes” by Coldplay for them- so well done! Can’t you just feel the love here?

What a performance! Jon caught the garter and was quite um, sexy, as he put the garter on a certain person’s mother… it was too fun! (Check out the crowd’s reaction!)

Thank you again and again for hiring me to be part of your wedding day. I can’t say enough great things about you both- so much fun, so easy to work with, such unique ideas and just so darn in love! From the moment you called I was so happy to be involved with the two of you. Hope you had an amazing time on your honeymoon! I wish you nothing but the best in the future- hope it’s just as amazing as your beginning was!
