I think it’s so funny that within minutes of meeting Brett & Midea for the first time we discovered that we had 4 or 5 connections of knowing the same people. Small world indeed! We instantly got along great and the session felt totally relaxed as they offered ideas and were willing to try everything I suggested. I just love sessions where everything fits together just right and their session was totally like that. Midea is due in just a few weeks with a little girl and they seem totally thrilled to be entering into parenthood! Of course they’re a little nervous too, but I have a feeling they will be great parents. I absolutely love talking with soon-to-be parents and helping ease their fears a bit!
I can’t wait to meet their new little girl in just a few weeks! Congrats Midea & Brett!

I’m not sure why, but every time I have a session set up with Kelly it rains, like the hardest rain we’ve had in weeks! This session coincided with tornado watches on top of all the heavy rain! But despite the gloomy weather, I was able to find enough good light in their house (thanks to a big sliding door) to work with their adorable new baby boy, William. Their baby boy is only a few days younger than my newest daughter, so it was fun to compare war stories and also to offer a little advice and consolation to these new parents! After the session, Kelly wrote me a note to thank me for being so calm and easy-going with Liam even when he was a little fussy. I loved hearing that from her, thanks! This is where being a mom comes in very handy… newborns are so much easier to deal with after having so much experience of my own!
Here is their adorable little guy! Congrats Kelly & Trace!

Our lives have been blessed once again with a new baby. Sabrina joined us on July 28th after a wonderful labor & delivery experience (yes, I meant that!) She perfectly completes our family of 3 beautiful daughters! Of course, she was a perfect angel for her newborn portraits, sleeping through the whole thing and never minding a position change no matter how I placed her! (I think I had her drunk on milk- LOL!) We are so blessed to have another sweet baby girl! Welcome little Sabrina!
