Sometimes there is a perfect day with perfect light a perfectly happy baby and just a perfect setup all around…. last weekend was one of those days when it all fell into place at once and my work became very, very easy. Emma is an absolute joy to work with- so happy and curious! She just thought we were all nuts with the crazy ways we were interacting with her but she humored us anyways and gave a few prime smiles. I am just absolutely in love with this session from beginning to end- I hope you love it too!

Sweet little newborns ~ Saginaw family photographer
June 1, 2011Yes, I realize that I have not posted on here in a little while…okay a long while. But I have been very, very busy! You can see on my Facebook profile some of the fun I’ve been up to! But I think it is time to get back to posting all these lovely pictures on my blog and freshening the place up a bit- are you in favor? I thought so.
To get things started again, here are portraits from two of my favorite recent sessions- newborn portraits! I absolutely LOVE doing newborn sessions (probably my favorite thing ever) and totally enjoyed the hours I got to spend with these two little cuties. They both gave me a bit of a fuss about sleeping which always makes the sessions just a little easier, but I was up to the task and still managed to capture some great expressions and even some “nearly” sleeping moments that looked just perfect.
First, here is baby Liam. A tiny little peanut who had the biggest eyes and was just totally alert! He absolutely adores his mommy & daddy and was just so great to work with (even after he did wet through 2 blankets!) It’s all part of the chaos that I love!

And here is Daniel, another teeny little one! He was about 7 lbs I think but really has lots of room to grow in his own skin- such cute tiny little chicken legs! I loved him! He was ready to play when I was there too, totally awake and not so keen on being set down, but I think I was able to get some great shots of him in the end.
