I finished editing my self-portrait maternity session and wanted to share a few more favorites. I have to thank my husband for being a good helper while I was doing this… he helped me set up a few shots and let me test my lighting/focus out on him- such a good sport!
And I’ve fallen in love with using textures to enhance the pictures…. I’m trying to keep it simple still because that’s just how I am…. but you have to admit that some of these look so much cooler with a little somethin’ extra, right?
Enjoy!!

Very, very pregnant!

July 17, 2009

Hello world! I took an evening this week to do some self-portraits of my very pregnant self. Baby is due in about 5 weeks now and I’m totally feeling the effects of being so close!
This project was certainly challenging, but I’m very happy with how they came out. Here’s two of my favorites… a bit of a sneak peek as I’ll get more posted soon!!

What a special blessing it was to snuggle with my friends’ newest baby this week! Baby L is just one week old! He is welcomed by two very sweet (and pretty!) big sisters who seem to love him to pieces. I was so happy to be invited over to meet the new little guy and to be the first to take their family-of-five portraits! Thank you Janeen and Steve for asking me to come! I am SO happy for you, he’s absolutely perfect!

Here is the whole family. You might remember seeing the oldest girl… I took her 3-year portraits a few months ago (such a good model!)

He is absolutely adorable- such perfect little features, and oh so snuggly! I loved getting a chance to cuddle him to soothe him and get him ready for my next crazy idea!

Mom and Dad are totally in love!

There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping newborn or those cute little baby feet!! And seeing how much his parents adore him… Welcome to your new family baby boy!!
