A Beautiful World

September 28, 2008

I’ve been working on pulling pictures together for my website (which is ALMOST DONE!) and ran across these few scenic shots that I just love so I thought I’d share them with you!

I’ve got a lot going on in the next month here- a maternity shoot on Tuesday, big vacation to San Francisco starting this weekend, a family shoot and 3 high school senior sittings later in October… whew! I’ll be a busy girl (and this will be a very busy blog!) So please stay posted! I plan to add a “subscribe” option soon so you can be instantly notified of my new posts- wouldn’t that be cool?

And… like I said- my “real” website is going to be up and running very, very soon. Can’t wait to share it with you!

Here’s a few pics to tide you over until I start posting all my pics from my crazy month!

I took this one about two years ago, but I always come back to it… just love that old broken-down house and the way the light is flaring! I love fall!!!

I took this one last year when I visited New Ulm, MN with my family. This is at Schell’s Brewery at the top of the hill there- someplace you have to visit if you ever make it there! Great beer and tons of samples! :) Loved this mossy, grassy wall- reminded me of something I’d see in Ireland.

I was grilling out for the last time of the summer and had just sat down at the patio table for a moment when I looked up and saw this…. isn’t that just amazing? My sky.

And this final one is to celebrate not only a fun vacation from last year, but the anticipation of an even greater vacation coming up this weekend! I cannot wait to get to SF this week!!!

My parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this summer- amazing! They are quite in love (acting a bit like newlyweds sometimes!) and just adorable together. To help commemorate this happy celebration of their marriage I offered to take some pictures. We went down the road to a park where we’ve spent many hours as a family- walking and taking small adventures. It was nice to be in such a familiar and comforable place with them. Can’t you just see the love in the air?

They met in high school… this pose reminded me of what they must have looked like in the hallways- tall, dark handsome young guy hitting on the cute little freshman girl. They’re still kids at heart too!

And right after I took this picture I was talking to them about how I’m really looking to expand my portfolio and business by taking Senior pictures. Mom says “Well you just took your first senior portrait!” What?? OH! Yes.. I guess Dad does qualify as a “senior”…. maybe there’s a market here I’m missing? Hmmm… I think I’ll stick to high school seniors! (And by the way, I am definitely looking to work with some high school seniors… know anyone who might like to have theirs done?)

I really was busy enjoying these last few weeks of summer… so I never got around to posting!  Oops!  I swear I have lots to share with you….  I’ll post very, very, very soon!  Hope you didn’t miss me!
