It has been a very, very, very busy month for me! Everyone has been hoping to take advantage of the amazing fall colors that we have this year in Michigan. I am just praying that all the colors hold out long enough for me to finish all the sessions I have booked!

Here’s the Kagay family who came out to see me on a very chilly Saturday morning. Their boys were excited to explore Ringwood Forest with me; I loved that they kept suggesting good spots to do the pictures! They were full of smiles and mischief… a great combination! Thanks so much, Lisa & Nick for selecting me to take your family portraits- it was a treat to spend the time with you!

Sophia arrived just a little earlier than her mommy and daddy were expecting- a nice surprise after so many months of waiting to meet her! She is my smallest peanut yet at just 6lbs and a little bit- just the tiniest little arms and legs and so incredibly sweet! Midea was awesome at offering her lots to eat so that she settled down and could get comfy with me, but she was sure she wanted to stay awake and see what all I was planning for her… so I got lots of cute pictures of her eyes wide open, checking out the world around her. Sophia is simply adorable and is obviously the jewel of her parents’ lives. Congrats to Midea & Brett on the birth of a perfect little darling!

It’s always great to catch up with an old friend… and this session brought the added bonus of getting to meet her adorable family! Marcia and I were roommates in our freshman dorms at SVSU a “few” years ago and both ended up back in this area again, so I was very happy when we ran into each other a few months ago and then again when she asked me to do her family portraits. She and Nate have the most adorable kids who were perfect for the session; a testament to them being great parents (or was it the promise of ice cream that worked?)
They came out to Ringwood Forest which is very close to my house and full of awesome walking trails through the woods. Though we didn’t venture too far into the woods since it was a chilly day and the kids were anxious to play and then get their promised treat! Thanks, Nate & Marcia, for asking me to do these for you!
